Funny story- Bra Strap and Thong Showing
Bra Strap and Thong Showing
One day I was getting ready for school. I put on a bra, underwear (thongs), and a shirt, then skinny jeans and socks and my "Vans".
I was walking to school and I was wondering why people were looking at me. I was sitting in my chair and this girl said pull your pants up I said "ok". As i pulled my pants up some guy slapped my ass. The guy was also looking at my boobs. He wasnt looking at my Breasts. He was looking at my zebra print bra strap.
AHHHH!!!!
I tucked my bra strap in my shirt in and that was gone ,but I couldnt understand why people were looking at me.I said to my self ,"I pulled up my pants,I tucked in my bra strap, so what else is it that they are looking at me for?"
I asked my friend and she said "Ummmmm Ashlee you should really pull your pants up." i was like "OMG MY THONGS ARE SHOWING I FORGOT TO PUT ON A BELT!"

I love that the straps can cross in back so I don't have to worry about them slipping off my shoulders, but I can also move them to the normal position for shirts with wider necklines or lower cut backs. They're really comfy, but also have a pretty design and a flattering cut, so I don't feel like an old lady or anything. They're just perfect!

Half Cup Bra
Half Cup Bra - Half cup bra styles are extremely flattering and provide excellent support at the same time. Because of the low cut front it gives fabulous cleavage enhancement. This is a kind of ‘half way’ style between the Full Cup Bra and the sexier Peek-A- Boo style Bra. A sample of such a bra is listed below(Pic above):
Versaille strapless bra- available at http://www.figleaves.com/
With an outer layer of semi-sheer mesh, this strapless bra from Pour Moi? has a light layer of foam to sculpt the bust. Embroidered with a floral design, it has a diamante tag at the centre, a satin band with a three hook clasp and detachable straps.

Bra etiquette
Q Should the bra be visible beneath clothing? Women here tend to wear tops that reveal bra straps or coloured bras that are visible under white T-shirts. My hunch is that this is done on purpose to be 'sexy'. Is this acceptable?
A From a fashion point of view, anything goes, really. The only iron-clad rule is that bras should fit well, which is more difficult to achieve than one would think.
According to one recent American consumer survey, 75 per cent of women polled were unhappy with the fit of their bras. So never buy bras without trying them on first and get the sales staff to help measure you if needed. The right fit gives good support and also looks nicer - no unflattering bulges because your bra is too tight - underneath your clothes.
Also, be sensible with your exposure strategy. A halter top with a regular bra looks ridiculous even on the hippest fashionista. I urge you to consider a strapless or halter-style bra instead.
If you want to show off your bra under a thin or sheer top, pick a nice, presentable one rather than the ratty bra you have had since you first developed breasts. Some may consider this a little too risque but this is not the Middle Ages, and you know best what level of scrutiny you are comfortable with.

Other than that, if you're exposing your bra straps, choose bras with nice slender straps (try Triumph's silver diamante bra straps, $19.90) rather than those with thick, frumpy straps in white or nude colours.

Lorna Tio, vice-president of marketing for underwear brand Triumph, also notes the growing popularity of bras that give a peek-a-boo effect when worn with low-cut or backless dresses. Those interested can check out the brand's Party Bra and Seduction collections.

Why should one wear a bra with an underwire?
If you’re going out for an evening date, you may want to wear underwire bra because it looks better then other type of bra. Make sure though that you’re using one in the right size, since nothing can be more uncomfortable and painful than wearing one that does not fit you right.
If you’re planning to buy this lingerie item, make sure that there is a plastic lining that covers and protects the wire. The plastic lining serves a double purpose – it strengthens the wire and also keeps it from being too sharp. The last thing you want is to have a wire jutting out of the cup. When it comes to buying an underwire bra, get the best quality that you can afford. You can expect the high quality ones to be pretty expensive, so be prepared. This is because more expensive ones usually fit better compared to cheap ones. High quality Underwire Bra give great support and keep the bra down in back.

Why wear a Push up bra?
Push up bras enhance a woman's bust effectively and inexpensively:
Using a push up bra is one of the simplest ways to enhance a person's figure without spending thousands of dollars on expensive cosmetic surgery. Push up bras are available in a variety of colours and designs, meant to match anyone's unique tastes and preferences.
There are many different types of push up bras; some use water filled sacks to create a visually pleasing figure by adding the illusion of fullness to natural breasts. Other push up bras are cut in a demi-style, and typically use wire support to enhance an individuals natural profile. Some push up bras come in a molded cup style. There are even push up bras that lift and separate the bust creating cleavage no matter what a persons natural size!
Push up bras work well with any style of dress, blouse or even t-shirt:
A push up bra is specifically designed to offer as much support as any other type of bra, perhaps even more so. Some push up bras have even been developed that have detachable straps to allow them to be worn with halter tops and like minded outfits. Some of the newer styles of push up bras have removable air pillows within the cup, allowing the consumer to alter their size as often as they feel necessary. Most women have at least one style of push up bra in their wardrobe.
Whether a lingerie novice or expert, one simply cannot do without having a push up bra as part of their wardrobe entourage. Even if the push up bra is used only within the confines of the boudoir, the investment is bound to pay off, in more than one way!

How to Adjust Bra Straps
Having trouble adjusting your bra straps? Then read this article to find out how you can do it without asking someone else to do it for you.
1.) Look for the little rectangular or circular clip on the back of your bra strap.
2.) Loosen your bra strap by pulling the clip up to the desired size.
3.) Tighten your bra strap by pulling the front part of the strap - not the clip. Pull it down to the desired size.
4.) Repeat on the other side in order to obtain even bra straps.
Tips
The bra should rest about 1/2" from the bottom of your armpit.
If the bra strap is too loose the strap will fall off your shoulder.
If the bra strap is too tight it will leave indentions when you take it off.
For the majority of bra wearers, the ideal position for the fullest part of the bra cup after adjusting is halfway between shoulder and elbow.
Consider a professional fitting at a department or specialty store.

Low Cut Bras
The Balcony Bra
The balcony bra is a low cut bra that has only about a half cup instead of a full one. One of the biggest benefits of this low cut bra is the way it works with a woman's figure. This type of low cut bra provides a slightly larger bust, and works well with a woman's natural figure. It also works well with most types of dresses and tops.
The 3/4 Cup Bra
This is a great low cut bra since it goes well with almost any kind of top, whether it's low cut or not. The slightly smaller cups allow for more support while still allowing your neckline to dip just a little bit lower. One of the better benefits of this low cut bra is that it can be worn with normal clothes as well, working its way into your regular rotation. The extra support provides a little bit more confidence as well when wearing a revealing top.
The Plunge Bra
This is one of the more popular low cut bras, with angled cups and a middle that plunge down farther than your normal bra. While this one can't be put into your normal rotation, it does give you the ability to wear extremely low cut and v-neck tops while still wearing a bra that can fully support you.
The Suction Bra
This bra is put on hear because there isn't a cut to begin with. Suction bras work by either suctioning to the front of your breast or being glued there while you're wearing your top. This hides all the important areas, provides a great deal of comfort, and will stay secure for the length of your day.
On top of the different types of low cut bras, you also have selection options as far as material, colors and patterns go. Most of these bras are available as strapped or strapless, but you may be compromising support depending on how it fits you. Remember, you should always try a bra on before buy it, since low cut bras can be a little on the more expensive side.

Why does my Bra Straps Keep Slipping off My Shoulders?
I hear this complaint all the time. “My bra straps keep falling off my shoulders!” Most think it’s because their shoulders slope too much or they have narrow shoulders. Both of these could contribute to the problem, but you’ll be surprised to know that there are several additional reasons your straps could be slipping off your shoulders. And most have to do with the way your bra fits.
1. Your straps are not tight enough. This may seem obvious, but many women simply don’t adjust their straps. Straps are only supposed to support about 10 percent of your breast’s weight. But they need to be providing some support or they will just fall off your shoulders. Make sure your straps are tight enough to provide support, but not so tight that they pull up your bra back.
2. Your cup size is too big. Many women, with age, lose their breast volume along the tops of their breasts. This loss of volume along the top of your breasts creates an empty space in the top of your cup. Without the cup being completely filled, the straps will tend to slip. Either go down a cup size, or make sure you lift and place your breasts into your cups so that the cup is properly filled.
3. You’re using bra extenders. A bra extender is an accessory that adds more length to the back of your bra. I sell them at HerRoom, but I really don’t like them. They can create additional problems, and shoulder straps falling off is one of them. When you expand the length of the bra back, you move the straps farther apart and closer to the edge of your arms. This increases the chances that your straps will fall off your shoulders. Instead of an extender, consider going up a band size and down a cup size. This will give you two more inches around your chest while keeping your cup volume the same.
4. Your bra back is not in the proper position. I know we’re all in a hurry when we’re getting dressed in the morning. But making sure you put your bra on correctly and getting it in the proper place is critical to your comfort the rest of the day. The final thing you should do after putting your bra on is reach back and pull it down so that it’s under your shoulder blades and even with the front of your bra. When you don’t do this, and your bra is left too high on your back, the front of your bra slumps, and the straps fall off. I can’t tell you how many times suggesting this simple thing to women has solved their strap-slipping problem.
5. Your bra band is too large. Similar to the back extender problem, if your band size is too large, your straps will be further apart. This too can cause your straps to fall off your shoulders. A loose band also causes the back of your bra to hike up. If you are experiencing both these symptoms, try going down a band size and up a cup size. This will tighten your band size while keeping your cup volume the same.
6. Wrong bra style for you. Not all bra styles are for everyone. Women with very square shoulders can wear the popular bras with wide-set straps. Women with slopping shoulders will have trouble. Women with narrow shoulders need to carefully look at the strap placement to make sure they are not too far apart for her frame. The bottom line is to know your body style and what styles do and do not work well.
Several manufacturers have worked hard to design bras to address this issue. For example, several Olga and Olga’s Christina bras have what they call a “Comfort Back” design. This back style brings the straps closer together in back and thus reduces shoulder slippage.
Racer back bra styles are also an option. However, there are a few issues with this style. First, racer back bras tend to be front closure. This is limiting in terms of adjusting for your best fit. Additionally, racer back bras can cut close to the neck and provide pressure to neck tendons, which can become sore after hours of wearing. So, keep this in mind before selecting racer back bras.
Leotard back bras look like the back of a leotard, rather than a traditional t-back where the strap comes down and attach perpendicular to the garment. This styling tends to give less slippage, but there are leotard back bras on the market that also slip. So, you really need to look and see how close the straps come together in the back.
As you can see the bra back is very important. Seeing how the bra back looks and fits will greatly help you in finding the right bra to solve your problem of slipping bra straps.
So, you don’t need to have slipping bra straps. A simple evaluation of your needs and the selection of the correct bra will have you comfortable and content.

Singapore women are getting bigger
Singapore women are getting BIGGER
THE notion that many Singapore women are flat-chested has been busted.
Sales figures from three bra retailers here show that Singapore women are getting bustier.
The demand for bigger-cup bras has been growing steadily over the past five years. It's an increase of 10 to 15 per cent, say the retailers. To cater to more well-endowed women, retailers like Triumph International are increasing their supply of bigger bras.
Five years ago, the majority of our customers bought C-cup or smaller bras. Now we have gradually seen a 15 per cent increase in the number of customers who buy bigger sizes."
The change in the demographic of Singapore women can be a reason for this increase in bra sizes.
Ms Teo said: "While we've observed that local women are getting bigger, the increase in expatriates coming into Singapore is also a reason for the increase."
Aesthetics are a big part of their campaign to sell bigger sized bras.
Said Ms Teo: "The bras that we are selling to bigger cup women are not just plain, boring styles. We carry our hot sellers such as the Deep V bra and the T-shirt bra in bigger cups."
For example, she said, the Maximiser bra came only in the C-cup size and below. Triumph is now offering the Maximiser in bigger sizes such as the D-cup and the F-cup as well.
"More of these well-endowed women don't want to hide their assets, but want to show it off", she said.
"So, they no longer want the traditional bras. They want the more fashionable cuts."
Asian and European sizes are different. Ms Teo explained: "The space between the cups for the European bras are wider as compared to Asian bras."
The increase in demand for bigger bras was confirmed by two other bra retailers - Ero Lingerie International and La Senza at Plaza Singapura.
Said Ero's operations executive Sharon Low: "Our demand for bigger cups (D to F-cups) has increased by about 15 per cent over the past two years."
Ero has even come up with a new line of bras with thicker bands behind, which is more comfortable for bigger women.
Plastic surgeon Woffles Wu has seen a 20 per cent jump in women seeking breast enhancement - usually from a B-cup to a C-cup - in the past five years.
But he said, very few come in looking for enhancement from a C to a D-cup.
He said: "Asian women generally don't like breasts which are too big. For every 20 customers who want to enhance their breasts from B to C, only one will want to increase their breast size from C to D."
There are more overweight women seeing him nowadays for breast-reduction surgery.
"There are more big-breasted women now than 40 years ago and a lot of it is due to nutrition," he explained.
"Fat does make the breast become bigger. When you lose weight, the breast size reduces as well."
A well-endowed consumer, administrative assistant Venessa Benjamin, 26, welcomes the increase in availability of bigger bras but want bras that offer the right support.
Said Ms Benjamin, who wears a European size 36F: "So far, it has been hard to find the right size at local shops. But even if they are offering bigger bras, it is the support and not the aesthetics that matter to me."

Bra news
Student bullies teacher by pulling her bra strap
By VEENA BHARWANI
HE was a 15-year-old student and a bully.
She was timid and his teacher.
Last May, the student pulled her bra strap during a physical education lesson.
The incident left her humiliated in front of the other students. They started laughing at the teacher, whois in her late 20s.
To make matters worse, she realised later that another student had maliciously recorded the incident on his mobile phone and uploaded it on YouTube.
This served as a catalyst for her breakdown, said the founder of Coalition Against Bullying for Children and Youths (CABCY), Esther Ng, 47, who related the teacher's story to The New Paper.
She also counsels adults.
Madam Ng, a psychotherapist, said the teacher had approached CABCY, a non-profit organisation, as she needed help coping with the episode.
Formed in 2005, CABCY runs workshops in schools for students, teachers and parents on how to deal with bullying. CABCY also offers consultation services to schools, organisations, parents and students on topics related to bullying.
Madam Ng said the teacher tried to recover from the first incident, but when one of her students showed her the video on the Internet, she went on a downward spiral.
"This teacher was humiliated and stripped of her power two times - the first time when the student sexually harassed her by flicking her bra strap and the second when another student maliciously used his mobile phone to record the incident and then uploaded and circulated the video."
She added: "She had to see a psychiatrist and was on anti-depressants."
"She was so humiliated and kept wondering who else had seen the video. It completely shattered her. She couldn't get out of bed and kept crying all the time." The video was taken down soon after it was posted online, said Madam Ng.
She said the teacher went on medical leave for one month soon after the episode.
She continued to take medical leave four or five times a month until February this year.
The teacher decided not to make a police report as she didn't want to make a big deal of a student bullying her.
Madam Ng declined to reveal more as she said the teacher is still fragile, even a year after the incident. She said the teacher was bullied because she was an easy target.
She said: "She is a nice and non-assertive person who will say yes to anything so she is a natural target for bullies.
"When her superiors come up to her with extra work, she would not say no even though she already had much to do. That was part of the problem."
Madam Ng said the teacher is learning to be more assertive in school.
"She is a bit better now, she has stopped taking medical leave and has gone off medication."
Madam Ng said the teacher told her that the incident was resolved by the principal and was not referred to the Ministry of Education (MOE).
As she declined to give us the name of the teacher or the school, this could not be verified. Speaking in general on teachers being bullied in school, an MOE spokesman said that teachers have many channels to go to if they have been abused.
She said: "Typically, teachers who have concerns can raise them to their supervisors or beyond to their school leaders... They also have access to their Cluster Superintendent, MOE's Personnel Division and Senior Management."
When asked about dealing with such students, the spokesman said schools may use disciplinary measures where appropriate and have the autonomy to decide on the approach, taking into consideration the students' level of maturity and intent.
The spokesman added: "More importantly, we believe disciplinary measures need to be coupled with an educational approach by providing the necessary counselling and guidance."
Psychiatrist Adrian Wang at Gleneagles Medical Centre said he sees cases of teachers being bullied in school a couple of times a year.
He said: "I see many teachers and some of them complain of being bullied by their superiors and even their students and they get depressed as a result."
Dr Wang said that in the last three years, he has observed a shift in the kind of students and parents that teachers have to deal with.
He said: "Students are becoming more demanding and so are parents. They are not as supportive as they used to be in the past."
Seven principals and nine teachers The New Paper spoke to said they have heard of teachers being bullied though such cases are quite rare.
The principals said that they train their teachers to handle boisterous students.
They also hire more experienced teachers and they also give teachers an avenue to talk.
Mrs Fanny Tan, vice-principal of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), said: "Our teachers are experienced and know how to deal with the boys and conduct themselves in a classroom.
"Boys can be very vocal, but they know we do not tolerate rudeness and teachers should be respected.
"If teachers cannot handle a class, we will get a mentor who will sit in with them... New teachers also have a mentor who accompanies them during lessons and helps them during their first few weeks."

Why do women wear bras?
Do you or your breasts really feel more comfortable with or without bras?
This would depend, first of all, on the breast size, and secondly, on the woman's habits. Very large and heavy-breasted women usually need to wear bras for support, and they feel pain and discomfort if they don't wear bras.
Women with small-to-medium size breasts, if they are used to wearing bras, probably feel a little uncomfortable without them. However, this is more a psychological issue and a question of habit: women tend to feel awkward or self-conscious without bras if they are used to wearing them. In fact, when a person gets used to automatically wearing bras, it's possible to not even notice or pay any attention to the slight discomfort from bras.
Thinking about it, can you sense any discomfort and/or tightness from your bra? When you take your bra off, do you feel something similar to the feeling when you have eaten your belly full at a restaurant, and you loosen your belt a little? Can you possibly even see little red marks on your skin after taking bra off? If you answer yes to these questions, your breasts may be trying to tell you something!
So why?
"Because breasts need to be supported."
"Because I feel immoral or indecent without bras."
"Because everybody does so, or in other words the unspoken rules of society so dictate."
"I need to wear bras for my job since it's the dress code."
"Because I hate the thought of my breasts sagging so much."
Discomform from sweat and 'slapping':
"Because I want to give the illusion of a larger breast size."
"Because they jump up and down while I exercise and do sports."
"Because I am breastfeeding and I need to wear nursing bras."

Girls' first bra
“My mom took me shopping and we found a set of underwear with a top much like a light sports bra. I got to pick it out myself and that increased my confidence…”
“I was an am still flat, but somehow, to me, that bra represented growing up”
“I remember wanting a bra in 5th grade. I told my grandmother because I just couldn’t broach the subject with my mom. I told her I needed a bra because I had a shirt that itched my chest … she took me to get one. It was tiny – but I felt better”
“I still remember my mom taking me to Macy’s or somewhere to get a bra when I was in 5th grade – I probably could have used one in 4th grade- but naturally, I resisted”
“My mom would check to make sure I’d put my bra on before we left to catch the school bus, then after we got on the bus, I would take my bra off and hide it in my backpack. It didn’t take long before other girls were having to wear bras, too, and then we all decided it was much cooler than we’d thought before”
"My first bra was a bikini, padded and about two sizes too large for me, but I was so proud and felt so sexy!"
“I wore that bra for six months straight, it never occurred to me that it should be washed occasionally”

Types of bras
There is a wide range of brassiere styles available, designed to match different body types, situations, and outer garments. The degree of shaping and coverage of the breasts varies between styles, as do functionality, fashion, fabric, and color. Common types include backless, balconette, convertible, cupless, demi cup, front-fastening, full coverage, halter, longline, minimizing, padded, plunge, push-up, racerback, sports/athletic, strapless, strapless-backless, t-shirt, underwire, wireless, sports bra, and invisible.
History of the bra
During recorded history, women have used a variety of garments and devices to cover, restrain, or elevate their breasts. Brassiere or bikini-like garments are depicted on some female athletes in the 1400s BC during the Minoan civilization era. Similar functionality was achieved by both outerwear and underwear. In China during the Ming Dynasty a form of foundation cloth complete with cups and straps drawn over shoulders and tied to the girth seam at the lower back called a dudou was in vogue among rich women.[8] Popularity continued into the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). In English they are known as "stomach protectors" or "tummy covers".
From the 1500s onwards, the undergarments of wealthier women were dominated by the corset, which pushed the breasts upwards. In the latter part of the 1800s, clothing designers began experimenting with various alternatives to the corset, trying things like splitting the corset into multiple parts: a girdle-like restraining device for the lower torso, and devices that suspended the breasts from the shoulder for the upper torso.
By the early 1900s, garments more closely resembling contemporary bras had emerged, although large-scale commercial production did not occur until the 1930s. Since then, bras have replaced corsets and bra manufacture and sale has become a multi-billion-dollar industry. Over time, the emphasis on bras has largely shifted from functionality to fashion.
